BUS THIS

CDTA is in process of realigning bus
service.

CDTA should consider the following:

1. extend bus service to the Price Chopper
Plaza in Slingerlands and make the plaza
a transfer point for the Number 13, 18, 19
and 4 bus routes.

a) extend the #4 route from it's current
terminus at Ohav Shalom Senior Housing
on Krum  Rd, Albany, to run along
Krum Kill to Blessing to Rte 85 to the
PC Plaza.

This will provide residents of Wards 13
and 14 in the City, and residents of  that
part of Slingerlands tributary to Krum
Kill/Blessing Rds, with access to the PC
Plaza. Additionally, it will provide
residents of  that part of Slingerlands
access to the College of St Rose and
Downtown Albany.

As an alternative, several runs per day
of the #13 bus could be rerouted to
perform this function.

Having the PC Plaza serve as a transfer
point for the 19, 18, 13 and 4 lines will
benefit riders from Voorheesville, New
Scotland and Bethlehem, as well as
stimulating business at the PC Plaza.
